Chocolate shortbread

So we made some chocolate shortbreads. They were quite tasty, though when using buckwheat flour instead of normal flour they can be a bit bland depending on whether you add enough stevia or honey, you cannot use sugar as any form it is very processed. We used two tea spoons of stevia compared to quite a lot of flour and this wasn’t enough, so I recommend adding more. Next time we are going to try add honey as well as it is a wonderful natural source of sweetness if you buy it fresh! We also used cacao powder instead of cocoa powder, which is basically cocoa in an unrefined state and the main difference between the two is cacao actually has health benefits, where as cocoa is seen as a binge. Anyway I think this was a well worth the attempt!!!
